Reading Books To Your Baby Before and After Birth

Today, more and more parents are beginning to realize the importance of reading to their child. Many parents believe in starting while the child is still in the womb. Reading before birth is a great way of communicating with your unborn child long before they make their grand debut. Some believe that reading at this early stage will help stimulate the child's brain cells resulting in an increase in intellegence level later on in their lives.  Others choose to read at this stage primarily for voice recognition and bonding. Reading to their unborn child is a great way for the Fathers-to-be to take part in the bonding experience as well.

The Diaper Baker believes reading is a tradition that should carry on well after birth. Parents should continuously encourage their children to read throughout all stages of their life.  We have had the pleasure and honor of getting to know Tina Peterson, an Usborne Books Consultant.
