As a diaper cake creator, I am asked often to customize a cake to a particular theme. Many times the theme is based upon the parents-to-be's vision of the nursery. The themes can vary from conservative and contemporary to extreme and drastic.  Are the days of old-fashioned themes gone? The answer is apparent...NO!  In a day when trends and fads are constantly changing, parents are still electing for the practical themes. Rubber duckys are far from old-fashioned, so it seems.  Mickey Mouse, Winnie The Pooh and Disney Princesses are still among the popular themes.

The latest trend among diaper cake themes has been the Jungle Friends / Safari theme and the Sea Animals theme. Both are growing ever so popular.  These aren't exactly new themes, now are they? They are themes that have been around forever, once again proving that some themes are never too old-fashioned!
