Hi there!!

Yes, I actually would LOVE to have shared my birthday with my daughter. In fact, if I didn't have a scheduled C, my youngest probably would have had a good chance.

And, my oldest, I did schedule her birthday on her uncle's (my brother's) birthday. My mom, oddly enough, was not too thrilled. My brother was ecstatic about sharing his birthday with his niece. I thought it was super cool about sharing the same day.

I could have made it for the days after as it was a scheduled C-section as well, but felt that to have them share the day was a special bonding for the two of them.

This article reminds me of the time I heard that a friend of a friend of a friend.. named their new baby what sounded like La-mon-ja-low...except they spelled it.. this is funny: Lemonjello (Lemon Jello). Maybe lemon jello is a favorite of one of the parents..lol!

The winner was selected via Random.Org and was posted to our blog on Sunday, October 11, 2009. The entry number was 16. Since each comment is equal to one entry, the 16th comment equals the 16th entry. The winner was contacted by email. Unfortunately, that winner did not claim the prize within the alloted 3 days so a new winner was selected via Random.Org this morning. The entry number was 34. We were waiting for the original winner to claim her prized before posting a new blog post formally congratulating her. Our newest winner has been notified and has since claimed her prize. A new blog post is in the process of being created to congratulate her.
